My husband and I are taking a quick trip to Austin this weekend.

Anyone want to grab a cup of coffee with us or recommend things we must do or see?

I've been there many times before, but the Mister hasn't.

I didn't see it until now... it's a cruddy month for anything that isn't a form that belongs to some governmental agency. I swear, I hate January. Ugh.

We had a great time -- we ate BBQ in Lockhart, heard lots of great music, brought back salsa, hot sauce, and BBQ sauce, and got me my fix of Mexican breakfasts.

I grew up in Texas, and have always loved Austin.

We moved here in late 98 from Honolulu. My husband grew up in Elgin - about 45 minutes from Austin. It's an okay place. I like it for the most part. I could do without the oppressive heat in the Summer and the seasonal allergies. LOL :)
