Title: Old Topics

Couldn't some of the old pinned topics be UNpinned so they can drop off the board? I mean, is it really necessary that we still have Pinned: We have a new name and URL! ????

Just a wondering on my part, I guess. There are a few on the name of the site and stuff that could be gone by now.

I've looked through all the pinned topics and I think We have a new name and URL! could be unpinned but the rest should stayed pinned. Let's see what Cherie thinks. :giggle:

Well, that is the one I was thinking of.

Does locking a thread not allow it to "drop off" ? I noticed some of those old threads about the forum name are a year old but they are still hanging around.

It has to do with the filter at the bottom. And the default filter on that forum is set to show all the posts from the beginning.

Actually the reason I've kept that pinned is because I figured that anyone who showed up here either by following an old link from Bookrelay.com, or possibly had an old link for the old Temporary_Bookrelay forum, I want to make sure that the current information is pinned and easily accessible.

We've actually still got a few members who have this site bookmarked using the invisionfree address so before the move to the new software, I'm going to want to make sure they all know to redo their bookmarks because pointing to s14 or z14.invisionfree.com will not work anymore when we go new software.

Thus, yeah having the current info about the proper URL and stuff, for people who still have the old way, was something I thought should be up there.

When we move to the new forum software, then that'll probably come unpinned. :)
