Please share with us what books you have received! :bananacheer:

akashafamily - January 1, 2008 12:28 AM (GMT)
None to report yet. Not that I need anymore books at the moment :giggle:

I did have a notice to pick up some parcels at the Post Office yesterday when I got home from holidays, but alas they were closed for their "Picnic Day"

Maybe tomorrow.

lmn60 - January 2, 2008 06:20 AM (GMT)
I've been a bit slack... though I 'acquired' your book weeks ago! Posting it off tomorrow... bad Lynn

akashafamily - January 2, 2008 09:58 AM (GMT)
No need to hurry Lyn. We all get busy, especially around this time of the year. Besides it's not like I don't have anything to read, and I seem to be drowning in books at the moment anyway.

akashafamily - January 3, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
Received my first book today :boogie: from freelunch.

The Bookseller of Kabul by Asne Seierstad (a wishlist book)

Thank you very much freelunch. I look forward to reading it.

:bananadance:

I was going to post your book to you today but the bag has some space in it - a chocolate bar-sized space - so I will remedy that and then post it. :giggle:

akashafamily - January 7, 2008 11:14 AM (GMT)
Received another book today, this one is from Crimson-tide :woot2:

Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (also a wishlist book)

Thanks very much Crimson-tide. I look forward to reading it soon.

That wouldn't have anything to do with a wee Sweep won last year, would it?

I've just got back from hols so I'm a bit disorganised atm, but I will get a book to you before January fades.

VeganMedusa - January 16, 2008 03:26 AM (GMT)
I posted yesterday so you should have it in about a week. :)

akashafamily - January 18, 2008 03:58 AM (GMT)
I have received three packages over the past two days, but I have only just had time to journal them (sorry)

The first package contained, Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston from catsalive (a wishlist book)

user posted image

The second package contained, The Full Monty by Wendy Holden

user posted image
and
The Cottage by Danielle Steel from dolphin-au

And finally the third package contained, The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry (also a wishlist book) and the package also contained some chocolate goodies from VeganMedusa (Customs liked the look of this parcel and opened it to take a closer look, again. Not sure if you are on their inspection list Vegan or me.)

Sorry, I didn't realise we had a different thread for the actual receiving of books! I was wondering why everything was so quiet. :)

Not that mine's been sent off yet (I'm quickly cramming in some reading time before I post it), but I'm hoping to get it in the mail by the end of the month (end of the week would be nice too, but I can't guarantee that one).

You've got some nice books there, akashafamily!

catsalive - January 26, 2008 12:39 AM (GMT)
Built/bought any new bookshelves lately, akasha? :giggle:

luckaye - January 28, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
Have you received from everyone yet, Kerry?

Mine definitely hasn't arrived yet, but I only posted it on Friday. With yesterday being a public holiday, I'm not expecting it to turn up until tomorrow, at the earliest.

I'm definitely going to be faster for February! I'm going to start reading that particular book today...

cheers!
tqd

I really am going to have to get some more bookcases. DH is sick of tripping over books and shuffling them around so that he can get access to the computer. Although my children are having heaps of fun playing libraries with them at moment.

Looks like livrecache has just one more day to make the January Cross. Do you think she's forgotten? She hasn't been on BObs for a couple of weeks

She's around (I just got confirmation of her address for a couple of books), but she did just move house. It might take her a while to find where all her bookcrossed books are. :)

Glad to hear mine turned up quickly!

Have they all trickled in now?

I daresay you have too much to choose from now :D . Decisions, decisions!

livrecache - February 26, 2008 12:39 PM (GMT)
Sorry all. I've been really slack -- moving house, not unpacking books. New job, too many excuses, should just stick at one.

Anyway, I'm playing catch up now, and I shall astound you all (and myself) by my new-found efficiency.

I'm only three months behind! Sorry, people, I really am. Life just sometimes gets in the way.

I hope your move went well. Those last few boxes can linger for months I've found.

Up to 18 months I've found. I finally gave up and bought myself a new copy of Garth Nix's "Mister Monday" only to discover weeks later a final box of assorted stuff (including a number of books, most particularly "Mister Monday") tucked away out of sight in the bedroom. Only 18 months or so since we moved house. Gah!

The plus is, of course, I got to register and release a copy of Mister Monday. :)

Sorry all, I've already apologised about dragging the chain. I posted Two Caravans to you yesterday, Kerry. (Surprise!) I'm still one month behind on Lynn's (trying to finish it first -- this break could be a good time) and I already have Lucie's, which I'll post on Monday so I'm more-or- less back on track.

Apologies once again for my tardiness.

Two Caravans arrived safely today, thank you livrecache for sending me this wishlist book. Please don't worry about it being late, I have a mountain of books.

I can't seem to get the BCID to work so that I can journal receiving it.
