I heard that WARD is writing a new series and the BDB would be
tied into it? Is this accurate info...does anyone know more about it?

Thanks,
Nina

I am writing a new series! Right now it's seven books- and there will be appearances by the Brothers but it is a stand alone. :D

Yay! :bananacheer:

Now to start the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Hi Black Dagger fans!

"Hooked" doesn't even BEGIN to cover how I feel about this series. I'll gladly cross-post any and all BDB news here in this folder!

The Yahoo Group is awesome, with 5,000 (yeah, five THOUSAND) members and counting. J.R. Ward's forum at www.jrward.com crashed a month ago, and a new and improved forum is expected in the New Year.

The BDB Yahoo Group yields lots of spoilers :whip: major and minor :whip: . Some are well marked, others pop up in unrelated threads and you read them before you can look away.

OK, here's more news on the new stand-alone series posted by J.R. Ward:

I'll be writing the first of them as soon as I finish Rehv's [Rehvenge] book which is right after Phury's [Phury's book, Lover Enshrined, comes out 6/08!] :D A lot of them are already planned and I'll do the first draft starting like June of next year...

Sheesh, I can't keep up with all that yahoo mail from that group...even in digest form. I'll be so glad when the forum is back up.

Thanks for the heads up on the new series. I've not been reading any of the post from the group this week.

Hey Daelith ~

No kidding  the BDB Yahoo Group volume is incredible, even in digest form. Mostly I scan, not enough time to read everything that looks interesting. Not to mention there's a little world in the "Database" link there to investigate, or pictures people have posted.

  to you for steering me in the direction of the forum (now under construction) at www.jrward.com. I would not have found it or the yahoo group without your mentioning it!

One gal commented in the yahoo group (5,000+ members) that she can "remember when the JR Ward Forum hit 11,000 members" !!!!!!! :o

I'm just curious...does this mean that the BDB is being put on hold
until you get this new series off the ground?

How many books are you planning to write for the BDB? I am hoping for 100, but I am sure that is way too many, but you keep writing them and we will keep buying them!!

LOL Well, at this point the series is open and ended and with Lassiter etc making appearances soon God knows there's plenty of directions to take this in! So as long as folks still want them and the Brothers still talk to me... let's shoot for as many as we can get!

RE: Lassiter - Mentioned in J.R. Ward's recent post

Lots of her BDB forum members are asking, Who is Lassiter?, as they don't recognize him from any of the BDB books. Here's the info:
*****

Sindee,

So, LASSITER is a some Forum member's creation? Got it. Phew! Was cornfuzzling the hell out of me and others!

Thanks for the clarification! "There is always Hope"

From: sindee@moonlite. us

Lassiter hasn't made an official appearance in the books, but he liked to

harass the brothers on the old forum board.

Lasstier was introduced on Ward's Message Board a while ago; he's an angel look for his chalisis (i know I misspell that word but it is something that facloners uses to tame their falcons) and has a friemeny relationship with the BDB.

NO SPOILERS

More on "Lassiter" from the BDB Yahoo Forum (Lassiter is someone who J.R. Ward has referred to in recent posts - he does NOT appear in books 1-5, but apparently makes "appearances" on the BDB Forum to "harrass the Brothers" (they also make board appearances I guess. THat board now under re-construction till Jan. '08:

This is all the Lassiter info that I can remember:

Lassiter is a tall (he ain't small - his words LOL) golden skinned
angel(according to the WARDen) who loves annoying the Brothers,
especially V. He has a very snarky attitude (does not play well with
others) hair that is blonde/black and down to his "damn fine a$$"
(WARDen's words) a whole bunch of piercings all over his body, and he
is looking for his "jesses" (fine gold chains that apparently attach
to his piercings).
He has gold blood which bleeds silver when he's hurt and it gets
exposed to the air (and nickel is somehow very harmful to him). He
needs the sun to survive. He has fangs. His eyes change colour
(?? not sure). He smells of cedar and sex, except when he is dying
and then he smells like flowers. He has a personal mhis. He needs the
jesses to mate, without them he can't mate. He has a sister (who may
have had something with V) but he is not related to V. He is not a
vampire, but the Brothers all know him.

I think he has the same sort of power as V, but that is just my
speculation.

Wow, I remember a lot about him. Where's Anne-Hedonia? She knows more.

Cheers,
Lami ;-)
