I've actually realized that I'm not overly fond of chick lit, but there is a series of books that could be considered paranormal chick lit that I absolutely love! (So I'd put it in the Great category)
Enchanted, Inc. by Shanna Swendson

caseyw - January 22, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Beneath a Blood Red Moon by Shannon Drake was some where between bad and a wallbanger for me.

Really? It was so predictable!! I'm working on a review of it that I was going to post in the review forum later, but it's not very nice. :( And what was with calling the one character by two different names the entire book? Is it Lyndsey or Sin? Let's stick with one!

I dunno, maybe I just read it at a time predictable didn't bother me. *shrug*
Can't say I remember one character being called two different names, but then again I don't always notice that stuff. But if it was a nickname than I doubt it would have bothered me.
fantasy221 - January 23, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
Aww I liked The Thin Pink Line. I thought the heroine was crazy but she made me laugh. Updated through to here.

I recently read Do They Wear High Heels in Heaven? and thought it was pretty good.
Ri - January 23, 2007 03:02 PM (GMT)
Fantasy, could I be really cheeky and ask that the books be alphabetized? It would make looking them up much easier for me. I am glad you resurrected this list. I really used it often on bookrelay!

Make that a minority of two! I tried to read this and I tried to listen to the audiobook and I think I gave up at about the same spot each time.
I'll update the list later and put it in alphabetical order.
xallroyx - January 30, 2007 02:56 PM (GMT)
I recently read Vince and Joy by Lisa Jewell and would put it on the best list :) One of my favorites for last year!

Sorry about the extra category. I gues you can put them into my Bad Category, because I wouldn't want to put them into my good recommendations.

Yeah I wouldn't consider it Chick lit either, I thought it was a straight romance. I really enjoyed it though - was a keeper for me!
SimplyCee - February 5, 2007 02:31 PM (GMT)
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series is one of my FAVORITES. I didn't start reading it until last year. I am forever indebted to the BCers who gave me #2 & #3 as RABCKs. I absolutely looooved those books. And the movie.

That one was in the okay category for me. I wasn't overly impressed with it. Tended to be annoying at times so I can see why you classify it as a wallbanger, Kel. I definitely won't be going out of my way to find the next one.

Well, since I did like Theresa, and the next book is about her and I already have it, I'll probably go ahead and read it, but beyond that I'm not sure if I"ll read any more of the series.
To me, it's like the author made up stuff to make the story move conveniently along. Oh, the Guardian can't have sex? Well, let's make these guys go after her that make her wanna have sex! Satan is dating her mom? Let's make Satan her dad! It was just all too contrived to me.

Lol Sorry I am laughing. Agatha Christy wrote Chick lit?
O I see more that are not chick lit.
But a great list, non the less. :)
Not all of my books are chick lit probably.
I would really like some help cause I want to add more chick lit to my wish list.
Just added:
Spur Of The Moment by Theresa Alan
Conversations with the Fat Girl by Liza Palmer.
Anyone read those?
I also like light reads about friendship of women.
I desperately am in need of some fun, more cheerful books
