Title: Envious of the exchange groups
Description: It's sad being the only Brazilian around

stellarv - November 24, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
I'm getting to know the things that happen around little by little and just learnt about the exchange groups. Sounds fun to have a long-term commitment to people in the forum, whom I think are so very nice and made me feel so welcome.

But as I realize, exchange groups are often grouped by geographic proximity and it makes lots of sense coming to postage rates.

Right now I feel so envious I'm the only Brazilian active on the forum... :sigh:

Have fun you guys!

But Stella, most of the current exchange groups are international :) so keep your eyes peeled for the next round and you will be able to join one, as long as you don't mind the fact that all your parcels will have to go international..... alternatively you can recruit some more Brazilians

Hi stellarv!! I thought we had another member from Brazil...... let me think....

Yep - Metropolitan is from Brazil ! Is she still around here? I knew I'd sent books to Brazil before! :)

Absolutely, stella, most of the groups are international. There are 1 or 2 US only groups, a EU only group, and the new NZ/AU group, but the rest of them are world wide.

In the next few months, current rounds will be ending and new groups/rounds will be starting up, I'm sure. :D

It's too bad you missed out on the birthday exchange signups. That is international. We have a member from Venezuela :)

I'm glad to know there are international exchange groups... I'll keep my eye on those!

And I'm working on the recruitment of Brazilians, but it is veeeeeery hard making them read in English. :giggle:
