Description: I received mine!
AceofHearts - October 17, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Yep More than 2 months ahead of schedule. Surely this is a form of torture not allowed here
You must be the most organized person alive!!!!!
Do I really have to look at this for more than 2 months??
Ace's Boxing Partner - October 18, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
Perhaps that is just a preview of things to come
SciFisstrs - October 18, 2007 06:15 AM (GMT)
Oh my that is fast. I didn't even start yet on mine
Amberkatze - October 18, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
Wow!!! If something came 2 months early I would have to lock it in the cellar and give my boyfriend the keys!!!

Veganmedusa's boxer - October 27, 2007 12:27 PM (GMT)
Hi VM your gift is on the way to you :) watch out for a green parcel which should be marked ..... :D so no cheating!
VeganMedusa - October 27, 2007 09:10 PM (GMT)
I have a boxer? Huh. I've never had a long-distance dog before. :)
Thanks for the heads up!
Amberkatze - October 28, 2007 11:01 AM (GMT)
Oh!! I have to start getting mine together....Christmas post is slow so I guess it would be better to send now and annoy my partner a little ;)
noumena12 - October 28, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Dang...how did I miss the Boxing Day signup??? Of course, the Halloween exchange isn't even over yet... :bash:
Marlene - October 29, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
:o  O I hope my partner has not yet send out mine because I was planning on cleaning out my wish list and maybe finally getting some of the books on book mooch.
(I tried to behave ) is there no holy smiley?
(Or better I meant the hypocrite smiley. one of my favorites)
Boxing partner of Morsie. I also want to buy Morsie a book of her wish list.
I think I will contact the organiser of the Santa exchange to ask your name and pm you.
Noumena. did you miss it? That sucks. Your first time not participating?
Zosime's Boxing Day Partner - November 5, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
Be on the lookout for 2 packages that are on their way to you.
One is from Pieceofmindbooks and the other is from manda_maritn992.
They both should be marked Boxing Day Exchange, so there are no excuses for opening them early.
VeganMedusa - November 5, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
I just got a green Xmassy parcel that is now on top of my bookshelves where I can't get at it. Thank you my little tinseled friend!
Danes Boxing Day Partner - November 6, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)
I must be part :shedevil: because your package went in the mail today. You'll have lots of time to stare and wonder what's inside!
Danesnboxers - November 6, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
Talk about torture!!! hmmm, I like torturing people. Maybe I'll send mine out. Course that means shopping this weekend. :D

Your books have been ordered so you had better be good. :shedevil:
Now to the important questions --
Is there anything in particular from the USA that you might like to have? I can arrange things, you know. :giggle:
I am putting your Boxing Day package together now, but need to know if there is anything that will not make it through customs since your package will have to go through. Any advice would be great so that there are no unwanted delays.
Signed,
Having Fun Shopping for Marlene in the USA!!!

For the first couple of exchanges I did, I would ask not to be her partner. I wouldn't be able to hide it from her anyways so what fun would that be? :giggle:

ooh la la. I am now so glad I behaved. I am scared.
I did not even order any bookmooch books.
Something from US that I like?. let me think. It has been too long since I was there. I remember I loved all the chocolate back then (talking about 30 years ago   ) but now most of it is also available here.
It is so early. I have not even had a sip (zip?) of coffee.
will get back to you my very organised santa dearest.
zzz - November 8, 2007 12:30 PM (GMT)
My parcel is here! :o
In the early morning my lovely neighbor said the postman to knock on my door and ring the bell like a lunatic because
"he is only sleeping" and I HATE when someone interrupts my sleep :angry2: Plus my morning appearances are quite "shocky" so I guess when I opened the door I had extra unfriendly expression!
Postman started to apologize himself because I had to sign the papers and pay the tax for custom check (that's probably why my neighbor didn't want to take the parcel as if I wouldn't pay her back :angry2:).
He [postman] was so lost that he didn't know how much he should give me back (it was 500-350=?). I said
"You must be joking!" and then I took the money from his hands and shut the door.
Yes, I really hate when someone awakes me (FYI before I go in bed I'm turning off all my phones)...
This is one of my recent morning photos so you can imagine state of postman's mind when I opened the door:
Anyhow, my dear secret tormenting Santa if you wanted at first to torture me with waiting for an opening day you've managed to do much more :whip:

zzz's Boxing Day wake-up cal - November 10, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
That was a very brave postman to not run away when confronted with that bedhair!
Do you always have to pay custom check on parcels? Or did I put something bad in? I'd send you another parcel to make up for it, but I'm scared it'll just cost you more! I hope it wasn't too much. I'm sorry if I upset customs.
CheriePie - November 10, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
I'm so sorry now that I didn't join up this year (expenses being what they are at the moment) :sigh:
That bedhead picture of Milan is priceless!! I wish my own hair would stick up like that without hairspray!! :o

Oh don't worry :) It wasn't too expensive (it was less than 8 euros)
There's really no rule about this. I'm paying it only occasionally and I think it depends on clerk  Yeah on every 10-15 parcels comes one I pay (so far in exchanges I paid only once); once I even paid for small box of BallySwapper books (month book exchange). I think when there is something which is obviously not book or book-shaped they're sending on custom check (although according to mine receiving history that's also not totally correct). As I said there's no rule
And no you didn't upset customs. It was only checking what's inside, so basically I paid their effort of opening and closing the parcel. Stupid I know but there's no way to predict that.
"zzz's Boxing Day wake-up cal"! I'll give you wake up call :whip:
Oh and sometimes it's very hard to control my hair (I call my hairstyle "unrestrained youth")
Akashafamily's Boxing Day pa - November 11, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)

Don't worry partner I'm sure it will be worth the wait and I'll just have an extended Christmas if it arrives late.
