I really loved the Outsiders when I read in (probably about junior high). I was actually thinking about it the other day, though I don't remember why.

I do remember pronouncing the Socs as "socks" and being quite shocked to find out it was actually "soshes" (as in social) and being glad that I had never said the word out loud to anyone!

I love the Outsiders! It was the book our English class read in grade 8.

(Karen, I made the same mistake with the Socs pronunciation!)

Okay, I'll be different and let ya know I saw the movie but never read the book, neither for school or personal. But the movie remains one of my all-time favorites. :grin:
