I must have missed this thread when it was first posted and did not learn of his death till yesterday while reading another librarian's blog. Wheel of Time has to be my all time favorite set of books. I have all the hardbacks and almost all the unabridged audios. Everytime I would hear of when the next book was to be published, I'd start at the first and listen to all the audios straight through in anticipation of the next book. I hope that whoever finishes the series will do it justice. I've heard that he spent his last few months dictating plots and outlines. The world of fantasy has lost one of the greats.
