Title: October Ballyswapper
Description: packages coming in...

bluejazzyfish - September 17, 2007 09:58 AM (GMT)
I found the first package (which came with a November EuroXchange package) in the post a few weeks ago (just before I moved out of my apartment)...

It is safely in the bottom of my suitcase-so no peeping for me- although I am not sure who it is from (it has pink packaging).... :)

01/10/07
I just got back from another trip. So far I have received:

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf (wishlist book) from Camis (thank you)
The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai (not a wishlist book but it should have been :)) from Giz-Angel

The Stranger by Albert Camus from Rebecca James : )

My internet access will be limited for a while as I am using an internet cafe for a week or so.

I mailed your book out this weekend... hopefully to the right address

PepperVL - September 17, 2007 03:35 PM (GMT)
Did people not get the email from Giz with the new address?

I thought it went to everyone, but maybe it just want to me and zzz.

zzz - September 17, 2007 03:41 PM (GMT)
I did but my book was already on its way (I guess). When I saw that she posted I thought it was book from me; obviously it's not so I thought to ask BJF about old addy since she was here.

For the rest of the group:
IF YOU ARE MOVING PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO E-MAIL ME NEW ADDRESS!!!
by the time Giz e-mailed us reminder with the old address (as well as some books) has been sent long time ago.

I just used the address that I had in my inbox.
Though looking now I have two address emails, both starred.
Oh well. It looks like (from Giz's message) that BJF can still get the mail sent to the old address.

I will still be picking mail up from my old address.

Although, if you are planning to send something this address is better:
yasmin hwaidak
29 goldsmiths place
london
nw6 5ug
uk

Sorry for any confusion, i thought i had emailed my 'in between' address.

thanks :)

giz-angel - September 18, 2007 03:02 PM (GMT)

We did get it... I just think there was some confusion 'cause Giz sent it out as a reply to an email zzz had sent reminding us that October was your month. And then I didn't think to send out the new address again when you gave it to me, because we had already gotten it.

But it's all good. :D

I have to admit that I kinda suck for October.

I have books for Misses November, December, and January, but... I still haven't the foggiest idea what I'm sending you BJF.

I swear, I'll come up with something before the end of the month.

That would be great Giz. If you can't find it or it indicates she should be around, I'll email her.

Hi all-

Thanks for your patience- things have been pretty crazy around here to say the least.
- I am still in between places (at mum's) and travelling around quite a bit.
- Have not heard back from my old landlord to pick up mail grrrr he also travels with work all the time.
- have had a few life issues to sort out- such is life...
- have turned 30 yay!!!
-have become a non-smoker!!!! (something I always told myself I would do before I turned 30..and am still in shock that I have managed to do it.. well I quit a week ago.. I am determined to stay a non-smoker.)

I have received a few books both for this month and next month EuroXchange (which I will add a new topic for)- and will also add to the received books here on first post.

Apologies for being a bit crazy this month (as though anything has changed :))

oh-- I don't seemed to have received any emails from anyone about this.

Well done for giving up smoking - I've done 5 months now :o and I am THE most unlikely non smoker!

Glad you are back anyway BJF

Um... yeah.

I was at work and couldn't send the email when I was talking about doing so... and by the time I got home... I had forgotten. Oops.

I'm glad you're back, though! I hope your old landlord lets you have your stuff soon! Doesn't he understand how important it is to get your books! :whip:

krin511 - October 27, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)

Received 'On the Road' by Jack Kerouac (wishlist book) :D thank you zzz

Now just to work out how many more should be on the way... sorry about the delay in getting my mail forwarded- it has taken such a long time to get in contact with the new owners/old landlord.

PepperVL - November 27, 2007 04:35 PM (GMT)
I still owe you a book, I know. It'll be coming from Amazon UK when I order it, but I a) wanted to wait until you were settled and b) need to wait until I have money in the bank.

I haven't forgotten you though, I promise. :D

bluejazzyfish - December 13, 2007 11:13 AM (GMT)

I have finally collected the rest of my mail from my last apartment (ops that took a while) and Have 3 new books :o

from Geishabird - Diary A Novel by Chuck Palahniuk (wishlist) and Light in August by William Faulkner (wishlist)- one of which I suspect is for the Eurxchange group.

and

thanks for letting me know though.

Light in August is your Ballyswapper book; Diary was from (I think) a non-genre swap earlier this year. Hope you enjoy them both! (I did!)
