Title: Another storm headed this way..
nursiegirl42 - January 20, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
We have another storm headed this way starting late Saturday afternoon.. as of right now they are saying 5+ inches... but would be more clear tomorrow about how much.. Keep your fingers crossed for us here in Missouri.. our poor trees and power lines can't handle much more!
momx3lovesbooks - January 20, 2007 09:44 AM (GMT)
The storm is suppose to be here (in Nebraska) tomorrow early morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and PLEASE do the same for me!! We just got power back on the 17th (after being w/o power since December 28th).

Kaishowing - January 20, 2007 11:31 AM (GMT)
Good luck :D
We've had some storms over this side of the water too.....and I heard that our storm may be set to return again too.....only not quite so bad this time round!
Hope so...already paid to have the snapped roofing tiles replaced!! LOL

Keep safe you guys! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too!
I just spoke with my grandparents in Oklahoma City last night, and they're expecting 10 more inches of sleet today, to cover the 5 inches of ice on the ground now. The weather is wacky all over this winter!

Keeping my fingers crossed

Take care Nursie and everyone else in MO. I have family there. I'm sending vibes your way.
nursiegirl42 - January 20, 2007 11:26 PM (GMT)
It's snowing and it's coming down hard!
SandDanz - January 20, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
Hope everyone is doing okay! We have an ice/snow storm heading to town tonight/tomorrow so CTGMOM & I will have to be huddled inside with books & our laptops most likely. (Not a bad way to spend the day actually. ;) )
TITurtle1 - January 21, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
Stay safe (((everyone)))... and WARM! :)
terrafreaky - January 21, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
The snow is piling up here. We saw 5 cars in the ditch on the way home tonight. *grumble*
momx3lovesbooks - January 21, 2007 04:40 AM (GMT)
I can not believe how quickly the snow is piling up in Nebraska! Dh came home from work tonight and said the roads are sooo slippery. The kids & I will not be going anywhere for a few days.
Our forcast says we were only *suppose* to get 1-3, but it's more than that. The blowing snow is the worst. Opening up the door to literally PUSH the dogs out is a freezing, blowing snow in the face, chore.
If I could keep my eyes open long enough to open a book, I'd get a lot of reading done.

Now I am worrying about my mom and rest of my family. They live in the greater KC area too. Mom lives in Overland Park and my brother and his family live in Gardner.

We're getting ice here. Trade ya Holly :P
shaunesay - January 21, 2007 06:23 AM (GMT)
... and so what were Shaunie and her friend DragonGoddess doing this afternoon while it was snowing? Buying books of course! Yeah, it wasn't the smartest thing we've ever done, but her birthday had been postponed twice and it was time for some crab legs and books darn it!

so far all we got this afternoon/evening was a lot of fluffy snow, so hopefully they're all fine Cheesy, no ice today :) Roads were a bit slick, but if you were careful it was okay, and like idiots, we've been out in it all day long!
ladyjanet - January 21, 2007 07:56 AM (GMT)
We are under a winter storm warning- but not a flake in sight....

Ditto!
nursiegirl42 - January 21, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Well we got snow for about an hour then it switched over to ice for the rest of it... I would say we got 1/2 inch of snow and 2 inches or more of ice... grrr! I really wanted snow this time. This is the 3rd ice storm we have had this winter! They are saying we might have another smaller storm coming in on Wednesday.. maybe we will get snow from it!
cheesygiraffe - January 21, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
Stay inside Nursie. I hope it's snow on Wednesday too.
ladyjanet - January 22, 2007 03:51 AM (GMT)
We ended up with two inches of perfect snowball snow....
SciFisstrs - January 22, 2007 06:55 AM (GMT)
We are having snow but not enough to stick. It looks like a coating and is suppose to stop tomorrow morning. But it is freezing out there. Brr..
