Title: For those of you who do release challenges...
shaunesay - September 2, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
I posted this idea over in the BC Challenge forum, for a 2008 Challenge.
http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/23/4682665/1Would anyone be interested? I thought it sounded like a fun idea myself, but I'm pretty new to challenges.

I replied to your post. I think I might be willing to give it a go.

I think it's a really neat idea & I bet a lot of people will want to join.
Since I do 200+ a month at times, I can't join without feeling like I'm "cheating"

sure you could! You wouldn't need to feel guilty, then I could send you the thingie that everyone who makes it will get, and if you think you shouldn't be in the drawing for other prizes you could say so. :)

Sounds fun, but very daunting to me. I am only doing my first challenge ever right now and worry I won't get to 20 books. Three hundred sixty-six seems like more than I can handle, but I applaud those of you who take on this challenge!

I'm in the same boat as ramson-- except this isn't my first challenge.... just one of a few, and this one's bigger than the others. Sounds like a great idea for those who could handle it though!

I think it sounds fun but I like a few others probably wouldn't come close. I'll post it in my challenge though because I bet quite a few of them could use their releases for both challenges if that would be allowed.

yup! It's allowed!
I'm hoping to get some newish people, or ones who do lots of challenges but maybe not a lot for each one, people who can do it by just pushing themselves a little, and also heavy hitters that make it no problem. I thought by not having themes and allowing dual releases, that might make it a little less daunting and just get peeps releasing!
I'm working on putting together a guidelines/stats page to use, and figured I'd better give people a couple months to sign up before we start. I've never hosted a challenge before as I said, so I'd appreciate any pointers those who have would like to give! :)
