Title: I met FranciJo today!
Description: Pictures

We met at (of course) Barnes & Noble where she got to watch my 4 year old daughter throw a hissy fit because we made her choose a book instead of a toy. *laugh*

Her husband is so nice and her son is such a cutie pie! And Franci is really great. We had a great time. We then headed to Culvers - they are major cheese curd fans ;)

We had a great time!

I was just signing on to write an "I met Candieb" message! I guess the two hour drive back to Waco slowed me a bit (traffic was awful).

It was so great to meet Candy! Her family is great ... her husband graciously offered to watch all three kids while we browsed the bookstore ... and her kids are cute and so well behaved (if that's a "major" hissy fit, I'm glad Carter didn't pitch one of his monster hissy fits. I thought it was pretty mild!)

We had a great time and are so glad Candy and her family gave up part of their Sunday afternoon to meet up with total strangers with a burning desire for books and cheese curds!

I'll post another photo as soon as I unpack!

Ok, here's another photo, with the kids included. (My son is making the dorky face ... of course.)

Btw Franci, your son has your gorgeous blue eyes.

LOL... nope, that wasn't a major one, but it was pretty not acceptable. LOL. The problem is that she is SO much like me that Tom cannot deal with her sometimes. I guess I think like her so we can usually compromise. Had we been alone, I would have made her leave outside, but instead she got that book again. At least it wasn't some junky toy though - it is a little more imaginative than a talking Barbie. The picking of the battles and that. We had a great time!

I wanted to post a link to the book I got my daughter. This is her 3rd one. They only last about a year because they are very interactive, but they are a HUGE hit with every kid I've ever gotten one for. They are SO cute...

The reviews are silly. Yes, it says "my mommy says <insert no fun mom thing> and my granny says <insert cool granny thing>" but who cares? I mean, really, I think people take stuff too literal. Anyway, this is my standard gift for a 2-3 year old now.

Oohh... looks like a new one comes out on Oct 17, I just preordered it!

...and yes, I clicked through the BO link - :)
