I'm going to be in Atlanta, GA from August 30 through September 3 (leaving on the morning of the 4th). I don't know if anyone is in the area... but if you'd like to get together sometime - preferably either August 30 or September 3, as the rest of the time I'll be busy with Convention stuff - let me know.

I'm about 5 hours away from Atlanta. Too far for me for a day trip with the kids in school again. :(

I grew up in GA and am going to visit my parents around that time so I would LOVE to meet up with you on the 30th! I'm heading down on the 25th and staying until the 2nd so I couldn't do the 3rd. I'll just have to make sure my dentist appointment isn't on that day. (I will only go to the same dentist that I've seen my whole life so they are nice and squeeze me in when I come home. I can't miss the appointment!)

I really wanted to meet these two tonite. I'm only about 2 hours away, but had open house at one of my schools and couldn't miss it. I hope y'all had fun. Maybe next time it'll work out.

We did have a good time, though we changed our appointment to Saturday night instead of Thursday night. We met at Pepper's hotel and grabbed a bite to eat at the local foodcourt. I was able to get a taste of the dragon*con experience from the neverending crowds and could see that it was a great time. We did take some photos and if I can find my camera cord, I'll post one soon!

Sorry you couldn't make it. We tried to let you know about our schedule change, but I guess you didn't see the PM or couldn't make Saturday either. :(

I'll be down in Atlanta next year too, though, so maybe we can meet up then. :D

I'm planning on pulling my pics off my camera today, so I'll try to get the ones of us up. :D

It was lots of fun, though a bit too crowded really. We want them to limit attendance next year... we didn't get into a few things because of the fire marshal (which isn't entirely bad... I wouldn't want to be in somewhere over capacity if there were a fire, however, standing in the one in, one out line is not so much fun.)

Thanks! That was my Dragon*con shirt. (Not the official one, though. The unofficial ones are so much cooler. :D)

I thought about keeping on the costume that I'd been wearing... but I think it was wings, and they're difficult in crowds, plus I didn't want to freak Joy out. :giggle:

I hope to make it to a Dragon*con someday...
