Title: Kid Specific Labels

JessicaEby - August 11, 2007 05:42 AM (GMT)
Does anyone use kid-specific (or, rather, parent specific) labels when releasing kids' books in the wild? I haven't, but I've often wondered if it's something I should be doing... so I'm just wondering what others' experiences have been, etc...

The BC supply store has some nice kid-specific labels that I've been eyeing. It's too bad shipping's so expensive or I'd have bought a pack or two already.

I always make sure to write in that you can remain anonymous on BC and that parents should help their children with all online activities. Usually I also say something about BC being kid-friendly. Every year I've done the September animal release challenge I've gotten more children's book catches than adult books, so something I'm doing must be working.

There are a couple of printable kid specific labels out there as well if you are interested. I have them saved to my PC but you can find them linked from BookCrossing I believe.

There are also a couple on Texas Wren's site. I think there are 3 kinds, they're really cute.

I usually use kid-specific labels on kids books, just because I think they're cute!
I've gotten quite a lot of catches on kids books (although none recently only because I haven't released any lately) but I don't know if that has anything to do with the label or not.
