When I sent money for M-Bags in the past I included the money in the book. My question is: Do you think I should just send the cash as before or what other method do you all use?

I've been sending money (cash) with any m-bag books I send.

On a side note, m-bag organizers should at least open the front covers of any books they may get for an m-bag to check for money; I can't remember who it was, but I remember a US dollar not getting found and making its way to the m-bag recipient overseas! LOL I know many organizers don't necessarily journal all the books they get for the bags.

Yep I've found $1 in one book, although morsie was checking/journaling books.

Another question: what about RABCKs?
Namely since I cannot send money from here what if I would like to purchase (or mooch) book for someone's M-bag as a RABCK? When I had M-bag I was asking people to include $1 but that was only for trades/swap/etc and not for RABCKs (I know Kislany was doing the same).
One of the options (which is OK with me) is to send book for organizer but the question would s/he accept that option? :unsure:

The dollar did not readily present itself when I unpacked the book and journaled it so I just assumed the person hadn't sent anything (since that kind of this happens/used to happen a lot).

I usually take the book and hold it upside down and flip through the pages. Usually that'll dislodge any loose bills stuck inside. :)

I was going to suggest paypal but Serbia is not one of the 190 countries that they service. I don't host an m-bag but if I did, I would be more than ok with you sending a book. Since it is a rabck, I would even be fine with waiting to see if the postage that I had from the other books would cover it. But, then again, I don't host an m-bag so my opinion doesn't really count! :lol: (Though I certainly would host one if there is anyone that wants one!)

I think that'd have to be addressed with the individual book owner as everyone kinda makes up their own rules on that. With Amber for instance, we knew she'd have a bunch of things like this as I've let her use my addy for some of her BookMooches, but I'm keeping a separate list of the ones where the $ is coming out of my pocket and we'll arrange something after, either she'll pay me the difference, or send me some wishlist books, or whatnot.

But other m-bag organizers may not be happy with that option. So I definitely think that there won't ever really be a norm on this one and you'd need to take it up with the organizer and see what their plan is. :)

I usually will PM the person I'm sending to, or put it in the journal entry, that I've included money on page such and such, but now that I know peeps don't always journal them, I'll make sure and send a PM! Unless of course I'm buying a bunch of alcohol for mixed drinks at a meetup, and then I decided that made up for the couple of dollars on the one book I passed along! ;)

if i send a book for a m-bag, i just put it in there, never on set page, never just inside the cover. so this is how you will have to do it for me if i send a book for a m-bag.
