I've come to a final conclusion where my favorite character stands, you can read the rather long-winded conclusion here, but as for the rest of the questions buzzing in everyone's minds about the final HP book I'm at a loss.

So what specifics do you expect to see or hope to see in the final book? What makes you think they may (or may not) be a possibility?

I do mostly agree with your conclusion. I am in the he's good camp, though I won't want Snapes for a teacher and I hate his hair. Maybe I can send him some Lush.

He has a thing for Lily, so part of his helping Harry may be that Harry is Lily's son and he has her eyes. That looking at Harry reminds Snapes of Lily. Sweet memories of the woman he loves (or loved), how she stood up for him. Bad memories of how she married a classmate he despised/hated and how she died because of that (which I am sure is the conclusion he reached). So it is normal that he acts the way he does with Harry.

I do hope to see Dumbledore come back. And more so Sirius, because he is my favorite. Though I know either is very unlikely. Sirius is dead and will not be a walking person anymore. In all honesty his usefulness in the plot is over. After HP7 Harry is grown up already, he doesn't need Sirius as a father figure and Sirius isn't that great a father figure to start with.
