Did anyone happen to tape this movie off HBO? I'm going to read the book, but I want to watch the movie when I'm done.

I didn't know they had made a movie of this. (Plus I don't have HBO.) I have to wonder if they fictionalized it because the book is not a fictional book. I read it years ago along and have it in my PC. I highly recommend another Dee Brown book if you can find it, which is a historical fiction, called Creek Mary's Blood. I snatch up his books anytime I see them at library sales to share with other people.

Glad you were able to find a copy. Been out of print for a long time.

And let me play book pimp a little more here. :D If you like Dee Brown, you might look into Mardi Oakley Medawar. I read People of the Whistling Waters about 10 years ago or so and enjoyed it too. Also historical fiction. I've not tried any of her other stuff but I plan to one day. Looks like she's got a mystery series I need to check into.
