*waves* I'm on a mystery kick again. Here's what I know I like:

Elizabeth Peters (moreso her Amelia Peabody series)

Unfortunately, as is often the case with a favorite author, I've read nearly everything. The few I haven't read I'm waiting/wishing for.

Back when I last asked for recommendations on the Relay site, someone suggested Alex Kava. I tried, but didn't particularly enjoy the few I read. Any other suggestions?
I have no real strict criteria other than preferably not romance masquerading as 'mystery' because those tend to make me want to spork the characters.

Stuart Woods (His Stone Barrington character:a lot of books most I can send to you if you would like them) (Also his Holly Barker character: 4 books in all I have 3 I can send)

I like some of those authors...maybe you should try some of the other mystery authors I like.

If you like Native American based mysteries, I recommend:
Jean Hager - Molly Bearpaw series and her Mitch Bushyhead series. (She also has wrote another series that took place in a bed and breakfast setting...Iris House mysteries.)
Margaret Coel - Father John and Vicki Holden mysteries
Thomas Perry - Jane Whitefield series
