I shop at Food Lion (a chain in the mid-Atlantic and southern US) and today they had a huge display of new books priced from $1.99-$7.99.** Some of the titles were The Order of the Poison Oak by Brent Hartinger for $1.99, The Red Hat Club Rides Again by Haywood Smith (hardcover, $6.99), The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Down by Neta Jackson (trade paper; forgot price), Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich (hardcover; forgot price), a boxed 3-pack of the first three Georgia Nicolson adventures by Louise Rennison for $4.99 ... hope someone can take advantage! (I told myself if the Red Hat one is still there next time I go, I am "allowed" to get it. )
** ETA: I went by all the Food Lion stores in town today to see if they had a different selection, and only 2 out of 4 stores even had the display! (The two that did had exactly the same titles. So maybe not such an excellent enabling resource ...)
Food Lion's not in our neck of the woods. Darn it!
