Title: Timestamp issue
EllyMae58 - July 1, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
I was updating my profile, and I noticed the time was listed incorrectly. So I adjusted it under my settings. It was still wrong, so I adjusted it back.
The time of my last visit is right, but the user's local time is still about an hour off. Is the main time on the board wrong or something?
This is what my profile said a bit ago:
Last Activity: Jul 1 2007, 02:49 PM
User's local time Jul 1 2007, 01:56 PM
PepperVL - July 1, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
Mine is the same way.
Last Activity: Jul 1 2007, 06:08 PM
User's local time Jul 1 2007, 05:16 PM
It's currently 6:11 according to my computer... and I just double checked that I have the correct time zone selected and the Daylight Savings time box checked.

If you have chosen the correct timezone and the clock is an hour out, this is because of daylight savings time and you can correct this by editing your 'Board settings' via your User Control Panel.
This is what it said in the Admin controls. I checked and everything looks fine there.

But I'm on daylight savings time, and I have that box checked. I've definitely checked my profile to make sure that the time was selected correctly.
It's posting the correct times on all my posts, and on my last activity... it's just not updating my "users local time" in my profile for Daylight Savings.
I think that if I uncheck the Daylight Savings box, then all my other times will be off. It's not a huge deal, since it's only that one time, but it's weird.

That's what I did, CG. I mentioned that in my original post - that's what I meant when I said that I adjusted my settings. The time was still wrong, so I adjusted it back. Still wrong. I always check that first if my time is off.

Cheesy, I just double checked with checking and unchecking that box.
When I unchecked it, I got:
Last Activity: Jul 1 2007, 06:56 PM
User's local time Jul 1 2007, 06:56 PM
Both times exactly 1 hour off.
When I re-checked it, I got:
Last Activity: Jul 1 2007, 07:56 PM
User's local time Jul 1 2007, 07:03 PM
The Last Activity time is correct... the User's local time is off by almost an hour. It bumped it up 7 minutes when I checked the daylight savings box, not an hour like it should have.

I did the same thing Pepper. I think the problem is with Invision Power Board itself. :(

Well, like I said, all the times except the User's Local Time in my profile are correct, so... not a huge deal. Just weird.
