Status of Books Not Yet Received
According to my records, these are the books that are still owed for the year. Please let me know if I'm wrong. And if you do still owe books, please let me know what you plan to send so I can at least record that you've thought about sending something.

Please look over what you might still need to send and do your best to fulfill your commitment. If someone is listed for your month as not sending and you did actually receive a book from them, PLEASE let me know so I can update my records.

To tenneh for December:
Kyri and Suefitz, I don't have books received marked from you

Kyri, I don't have a book received marked from you
Suefitz, I have a book listed that you plan to send, but it doesn't show that it was received

I think I ought to drop as well. My husband and I are still trying to find a home while working at moving out of this one. It's entirely possible I'm going to end up living in my mother-in-law's basement for a couple months with everything I own in boxes, so I don't feel I'll be prepared to keep up with the exchange. It makes me sad 'cause I've had fun!

What exactly is RMTBRBB? I may be interested in joining.

I'll keep doing it. And if we need an organizer let me know.

Here is a link to part of Shaunesay's SWAP site that explains how exchange groups work. The basic idea is that you mail a book a month except for one month when everyone mails you a book. So you should end up with the same number of books you mailed out. In this forum, all those topics like "July Euroexchange" or "July RMTBRBB" are people belonging to different exchange groups (there are quite a few of them here) reporting what they received. Loads of fun!

One thing I want to make sure to point out is that this is a year-long exchange group, which means you are making a commitment for a full year. So before you join a group, make sure you can keep up with it for the entire time so that way there are no hurt feelings in the rest of the group if someone doesn't fulfill the commitment.

I'm still debating. Wasn't sure if we were continuing and signed up with another group that had an opening. Now I don't know if I can handle three groups. :unsure:

I've just PMed those that I haven't heard from at all and those who are undecided to let them know that they need to make a decision by the end of the month. If I haven't heard from a person by July 31, I'll assume that person has decided not to continue and remove her from the lineup. This is to ensure that the next year gets started on time.

Has anyone heard from Rangerfan? I used the message tracker on the PMs and none of them from the past two months have been read.

In the meantime, if you're not part of the group and would like to be (and live in the U.S.), post here and I'll add you if there is an open spot.

I am back from vacation. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I would like to continue. I would like to have the month of October if Rangerfan doesn't rejoin. My birthday is in October. Thanks for keeping us organized Karendawn.

Okay, it looks like we're coming close to being ready for the new year.

For organizer, both nvangel and ctgmom have volunteered. nvangel's post about that seemed to be an "if needed I'll do it" post. ctgmom has PMed me and asked questions and seems to be really excited about being an organizer. nvangel did offer first, though, so I'd like to hear from her if she'd like to do it or turn it over to ctgmom.

We still need to hear a yes or no decision from Kyrissaean and lovemylife.

Suefitz, I put you as undecided since you said it would depend if you found a job. I hate to push things, but you'll need to definitely be in or out by the end of this month. It wouldn't be fair to have you join and then drop out a month or two down the line (the same goes for everyone).

And Sidney seems to be avoiding this thread even though I've sent her several PMs and others have pointed her this way. Don't know what's going on there. :(

Once the organizer issue is decided, you'll want to PM the people who are continuing and especially the people who are new and get the new year's order settled. I've tried to place some people in months as they've requested (we try to do birthday months if possible) but others may want to change or need to be moved to accommodate someone else's request.

Updated top post to remove lovemylife (who has two other groups to keep her occupied this year) and added Gothamgal in her place.

Just two more people to make final decisions and one person we haven't heard from at all. It looks like nvangel will be the organizer, so the new year is almost ready to go!

Kyri, Sidney, and Suefitz, if you haven't posted by the end of the day, I'll have to remove you from the list. The good news is that there are three people waiting in the wings, so the spots would not go empty if they do need to be filled.

P.S. It might not be nice to say this, but as these are the three who still owe books, I would be hesitant to have them join for the new year since they haven't met their commitments for the past year yet. But after today this is no longer my group, so nvangel, if any of them do want to continue, it's your decision to keep or boot them.
