No, I didn't know about that, but that's how a lot of searches work, isn't it? I mean I know my work's website works like that, it has hidden "keywords".

You know, a while ago there was a [short-lived] rash of people who would PM to ask for books I had just registered -- like, minutes before. I never could figure out how they kept on top of that stuff! Wonder if it was something like this....

I didn't know about it but it's kind of one of those things I wouldn't know about. :)

Dunno... one REALLY weird thing is that I just registerd the book "The Nasty Bits" by Anthony Bourdain... (I got it free I think from some beer site) anyway, that book is listed on that link, so I clicked it thinking it would bring mine up... but it brough up CHEESY'S!

Yep Sand and I both got it yesterday. All of us went to the beer site to get the book free. ;)

i got my free copy the other day too. when i was overhauling my wishlist a while back, i remember noticing that i had marked the Nasty Bits as "pending" but couldn't remember why--i went to the swap site and didn't see that i had ended up with it from a swap...so i just removed it from the wishlist. of course now i remember why i was expecting it! haven't registered mine either as i got it for my husband and never can tell what he'll want to do with a book.

Ya know... we are so SAD! We'll do anything for a free book. :lol:

Well, that link sure explains how newbies get PMs for books seconds after they have registered them. I had no idea it existed. I wonder if your book would show up if you use the pre-numbered labels? I'll have to experiment someday.

Pre-numbered definitely show...I'm all over that page right now. And ditto the PMs on just registered books.

Damn. Well, I have about 20 or so books that need registering and definitely don't want them appearing on that list, so I may just take some of my PC books and reuse those numbers for the new books. I have been thinking about removing my PC books from my BC bookshelf for a while now and just keeping them at Library Thing.
