Welcome to Round 8 of the Paranormal Virtual Bookbox!


NOTE: Shaunie's life has calmed down slightly, but she still won't be on as much as she has been in the past, so I'm deputizing you all as vampire hunters and wolf tamers to help out on updates as needed! (it's what we do anyway!)

Turn Time Limit Rules:

1. Turn time is 2 full days, so 48 hours from the time the update listing the player's turn is posted.

2. If two days is a problem for you (i.e. you can't get online during the weekends, or will be on a trip, etc.) please let me know so that I can put a note by your name and allow you extra time.
3. If the full 48 hours has passed with no word from the player, the next player will go, and the missing player will be moved down 1 space. We will do this 3 times, but without the 2 day time limit each time. A Player skipped in this way will only have the time it takes for the next three people to take their turns to check in before being dropped to the bottom of the list (this is all if we have not heard from the player). It will look like this: 2 days, skip, skip, skip, bottom. If a player is skipped in this way and/or placed at the bottom, that spot will become their new permanent spot until the list is reshuffled.

4. The Box Organizer will be the time keeper and determine a skip or bottom placement.

On your turn:

1. Select the number of books that you want to take out of the box and list them for us in your post.

2. Replace those with the same number of books and please provide links to the journal entries for your books if possible. (or more if you like, sometimes people do).

3. If any of your books have "**" in front of them, you MUST replace them when your turn comes up.

4. If you decide to skip, you have the option to ask to be placed at the bottom of the list for another try. If you do this, that will become your new permanent spot until the list is reshuffled. (reshuffling will happen after every 5th round)

5. New players will be accepted during play, they will be added to the bottom of the list.

I have been bad about marking my books this last round, but I know that I put in one of the Dark Lover books and it was taken out but I am not sure by who. I am so unorganized at the moment, but will find the book so I know for sure which one it is.

I also took out Grave Sight but not sure who it belonged to.

Eeep! Just realized that gailcm put in Hunting Midnight and I had taken it out as well and put something else in, but gotta remember WHAT I put in!!!

The book I put in was 'Dark Lover' and I am not sure who took it out. I am thinking Cherie maybe?

I think that I also put in Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett because there was some question about it being a different copy than the one cheesy took out before. So there is another that should be in the box BCID is 4637606.

Shaunie, thanks for all the hard work you've been doing with this. I would like to keep the box going too if we can.

Other than that, I skipped this round so I hadn't taken out or put anything in, and I see that you have accounted for the 2 books I had remaining in the box that were taken out by meshe and ladiibbug, so all my info is up-to-date.

BTW, Cirque Du Freak #4 was mailed to ladiibbug on 1/17/07.

I had one book in this VBB -- Micah by Laurell Hamilton. I don't know if it's still in the box or has been taken out. :unsure: If anyone knows the status, please let me know.

Anyway, after much deep thought and meditation, I think I put in 2 books during round 8, which were taken out again that same round as follows:

Tall, Dark, and Hungry by Lynsay Sands (Kyri --> NMZ) Sound familiar, NMZ?
Enchanted by Kay Hooper (Kyri --> ctgmom) Yay -- she mentioned it too, so that must be right!

So after that I should have had no books left in the box.

I recieved California Demon today from KarenDawn(Thank you!!) I put in Dead Until Dark as its replacement..I believe I posted this somewhere, but wanted to say I got California Demon! :D
