LOL and she puts herself last! :whip: :P

Just FYI, and I'm not sure if you're gonna note this in the list or not, but Mike will probably come with me on this particular trip. So y'all will get to meet my other half, the side that keeps me somewhat down-to-earth (and out of jail  )... the sanity to my craziness. user posted image :P

Same here. Not sure what Turtle's schedule is looking like til it gets closer. And I know Meg always wanted to go. So we'll see how her schedule might be

chronicbooker3 - May 9, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Started looking at flights and so far the cheapest is just over 1000 bucks

That's just crazy! I know you're coming from Canada and all, but it's not usually that much. If you can, just set some alerts and stuff up at Travelocity so you'll be notified of price drops and can try to jump on it right away.

I'm currently seeing prices around $200 something, but I refuse to book until I see something closer to $150.

So I think a good idea might be for those of us who are good at staying up on airline deals and such to post here as we see them, so that we can all take advantage. :D

AceofHearts - May 9, 2007 10:15 PM (GMT)
Chronic, It might be cheaper to fly out of Buffalo

chronicbooker3 - May 9, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Checked and it was 14 bucks cheaper but not worth the hassle for that.

But you don't have the $200 in taxes there

For some reason flights between the US and Canada seem very expensive. When I went to Toronto which is only a hour and a half flight, it was probably around 400.00. Does anyone have those websites they gave us at the convention to get cheaper fares?

needmorezoloft - May 10, 2007 06:42 PM (GMT)
Add me in... I HOPE to be driving in with Kel. :D

I think they are in my convention blog...

Ummm...did ya forget me?

No, seriously, I am planning on it. It's a little early to submit my time off request, but if everything works out, I'll be there.

Of course I didn't forget you, I was waiting for you to post and make it offical!!

Anyone want to trow out some ideas what they want to do, or where they want to stay.

As I mentioned in another thread I would like to see Mama Mia and maybe a Cirque de soleil show.

My hotel prefrences, based on price of course would be:
Luxor
MGM
Paris
New York
Flamingo
Aladin
maybe a few more.

Breeni - May 11, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
Definitely want to see Cirque.

Hotels: Luxor or MGM

noumena12 - May 11, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
I love to gamble at the Luxor!!

CheriePie - May 11, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind either the Luxor or MGM either, they'd be my 2 top choices of the ones you listed. The MGM being newer than some, I think I've only been in that one once even.

apolonia - May 11, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
Well feel free to list other hotels you may be interested in too. I just named these ones cause I've either stayed in them or I want to stay in them.

CheriePie - May 11, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Well, I love the Venetian, esp the suite rooms with the hot tubs. But I'm not sure if the cost is feasible except for large numbers of people under a group rate, but you can always look into it along with the others... with the suites though, you've got 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, so you could easily fit 4 per room in them to help cut down on cost. But I'm pretty sure that without a group rate, those run over a grand a night. (When some people I know stayed in them during Internext, one of the huge adult conferences held out there every January, I think they could get them for like half that.)

And to put a stop on how many books you take home?
Well, let's see if the two Mikes can meet. We are planning to go but last week a few trips seem to pop up before October so we don't know how it works out.

caligula03 - May 11, 2007 04:20 PM (GMT)
Me and MrCaligula (and the kids but MrCaligula and the kids will be doing their own thing)

Breeni - May 11, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Okay, I may have hit a snag...I was reminded last night that my sister's baby is due in October. Plus, I'm still trying to get Mark okay with the idea of flying. :bash:

needmorezoloft - May 11, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
I haven't been to Las Vegas since I was in Jr. High (when I lived there), and that was back during the gulf war and the newest was the Excalbur. To be honest, I really don't care. I wouldn't even mind staying off the strip.. but that's just me. I'm not all that picky. My vote is for some place that isn't too pricy.

xallroyx - May 12, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
Count me in! Luxor,New York, and Hilton are the only ones I have stayed at before on the strip.

apolonia - May 14, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Well my school semester is almost finished, then I might have a little time to see if we could get some group rates. Although we might get better rates as it gets closer to the date.

Breeze - May 21, 2007 05:04 PM (GMT)
FWIW, Bally's or Treasure Island will be cheaper than MGM or Paris and are very centrally located and not at all sketchy...

rebeccaljames - May 23, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
Put me down as a maybe. I will try my best to be there.

EllyMae58 - June 10, 2007 02:54 PM (GMT)
Has any research been done on a hotel to stay at?
