Description: Would you count this?

Ann got me to thinking at convention... at the confrence room we had tables called the book buffet, hundreds of books, everyone was dropping off and picking up. Would you count this as a wild release and a catch if another bcer journalled it?

I wouldn't but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. LOL I'm no help. :P

I've noticed that BC has been counting books I rescued off of our local OBCZ shelf (they're closing and we had to clear the shelf) as catches when I do a journal entry on them to release them. I'm simply clicking on "make a journal entry" and not catching one and it's still adding them to my catches. Even if is skip that and just do a release with it, still shows up as in my catch total. So I really don't think it matters one way or another.

I would. And the reason I did/have/would is because of my experance at the convention in Ft. Worth. Not every book you leave on the table or the hotel will get picked up and/or journled.
Then again I only not count books as a wild release when I hand a book to someone or if I mail it to them.... UNLESS it is for them to wild release.. .like when I sent books to Breeni and the CharlestonBCrs for this convention.
The way I look at it is that its up to you. Everyone I think looks at it differently, but what matters is how you look at it. Kinda like some people not counting audiobooks as books read because you heard it and not read it.
That's just my opnion.

I would as you do not know whether or not it will get picked up

Last year I think only a few maybe a handful of my books were journaled, and I released at least 20-30. This year I probably released 50+ and I've had about 8 journal entries so far. So I think I count them, I guess they just have a better chance than books that are randomly left somewhere.
