Title: Anyone on Weight Watchers???

Lizabeth86 - April 11, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
I joined WW 7 weeks ago and am down 7.6 lbs so far. I wondered if anyone
else here does it? I'd love to find someone here that is to chit chat with. I've browsed the Message Boards on the WW site but it feels strange since I don't know anyone as opposed to feeling like we are a family over here.

needmorezoloft - April 11, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
I used to do it.. but not anymore... I'm not much on math.

EllyMae58 - April 11, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
I'm not on WW, but I am on another weight-loss program. I've lost 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks.

I'm happy to chit chat!

morsecode - April 11, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
I was on WW a while ago (2001-2002), but not right not (not that I don't need to be... )

I was on WW back in 2001-2002. I had lost 70 some pounds. I've gained it back unfortunately. :(

70 lbs within a year. That's excellent. I am hope I am just as successful on it. So Far so good.

Sunlightbub - April 11, 2007 07:48 PM (GMT)
I've done WW and lost about 50lbs in 6 months..I'm still about 30 lbs lighter than my heaviest non-pregnant wieght, but need to lose more..Am currently low crabing but not losing as much as I'd like to.

WW reeally does work, and I do think it gives you the best range of things to eat.

Good luck :D

I became a lifetime member when I attended in junior high. Of course, I'm not on it now - I'm on the belly expansion program!

cowgirl-up - April 11, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
I've been on Weight Watchers for just over a year and I've lost 58 pounds. I'm 9.4 pounds away from my goal for lifetime and as into the program as ever! Planning for the wedding has really jumpstarted my attitude. I love to chat with other Weight Watchers members or others who are just trying to live a healthy lifestyle. My e-mail is bc_cowgirlup at yahoo.com

If you can get past they initial shyness of the Weight Watchers message boards they're really quite beneficial. Even if you don't post there are lots of great tips to pick up on. My name on those boards is also cowgirl-up.

Hi cowgirl :waves:

I am finding interesting information on the boards. Just all very overwhelming though.

I lost 58 pounds from Feb - December of 2006 doing the Weight Watchers CORE program on my own. I'm a fat girl. I have always been a fat girl, will probably always be a fat girl and after so many costly weight loss programs including several stints with WW I decided to do it on my own and was very successful. I was also very weary of the Points system and all that counting. (If you couldn't figure it out from all the reading I do I am much better at words than numbers.) CORE is the easiest and BY FAR the healthiest weight loss program I have tried yet. I love it. Now all that said, I kind of crashed right about Christmas time and am just coming back up for air a hearty 24 pounds heavier than I was in the begining of December. I am back on the wagon and would love to chat if you are so inclined.

Another site I belong to has a treadmill smiley. Maybe we need one over here, too!

Good luck!

My best friend's hubby who is also on weight watcher's and who is a very BIG guy is doing the CORE Plan and is doing wonderful. He has lost over 120 lbs doing it for about a year now.

AceofHearts - April 11, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
I have been on a Healthy Heart program at the hospital. Between that and depression in January I am down 25 lbs. I really have to work at it. I am obese and really have to cut down to lose anything. Here's the smilie but I forget where I got it from user posted image

AlterEgoZoe - April 11, 2007 10:18 PM (GMT)
I'm just happy I'm within my "normal" range for my height (I'm 4'8"). Of course when I was in college and borderline 100lb, I did it the hard way. I ate everything normally (just smaller portions) and walked from the Theater Building to the Library 2x a week (motivation?) and danced 3x a week, sometimes 4x. Now I'm lucky if I dance once a week. I have no more dance group and the only other group I would be intrested in is $88 a month and I don't really like the owner. *sigh*

PepperVL - April 11, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
I'm currently on it. As of last Thursday I'd lost 39.8 pounds, putting me 12.2 pounds away from my goal (but only 7 pounds away from the goal I'm telling Weight Watchers!)

We'll see tomorrow how I did this week.

I'm happy to chat with anyone...

nvangel2073 - April 12, 2007 01:00 PM (GMT)
I've been doing WW online since August 15, and have lost 44.5 pounds.

morsecode - April 12, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
I really should start again, but I just don't want to spend the money

I could try to do it on my own, but it is sooo much harder now that I'm married and have that man and all his food in my house

camis - April 12, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
I've done WW several times

I'm actually a Gold member, but that was 3 babies ago and I haven't got close to my gold weight for a long time.

I'm currently following a low carb programme (same as Sunny) and am doing ok, but still want to lose around 40 pounds.

alsgal - April 12, 2007 03:16 PM (GMT)
I've been doing LA Weight Loss since November and lost 23.6 pounds. I made my goal weight about 6 weeks ago so I'm in "stabilization" now. I feel so much better and feel like I could lose another 5 pounds even.

How does the LA Weight Loss work? I have been curious as to what type of program it is.

PepperVL - April 12, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
:sigh:

I gained 2.6 this week! I'm not sure how as I thought I was going to loose!

I've been trying since the beginning of March to get over that 40 pound mark... and it just hasn't happened yet.

I'm so ready to just give up on the whole thing.

LA Weight Loss doesn't expect you to use their food and really try to change your eating habits for life. You go in and meet with a person 3 times a week during wieght loss, 2 times a week during stabilization, and once a week during maintenance.

I really wanted to get back into shape and needed to lose a little weight but couldn't make it happen on my own so I finally just decided I neede to do something.

They have supplements and some food you can buy but it isn't required. It can be expensive but it depends on how much you want to lose.

It really worked for me.

Don't you dare. Look how far you have come so far and how much you have lost.
So you had a bad week which may have included Easter for you. Just start fresh this week.

Email me privately if you want to talk or want some private encouragement.

I've been mostly on, and sometimes off for almost a year. I haven't weighed in for a couple weeks but at last weigh in I was down a total of approx. 25 pounds. I have been trying to get back on track for a couple months now but I'm having a hard time.

catsalive - April 13, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
I gave up. I didn't really like the vibe & cooking for one is a pain anyway. I'm trying something else instead.

I know. I'm trying.

It's just... I was at 39.2 pounds lost early in March... and then I plateaued for two weeks. (A true plateau where I neither gained or lost.)

When I finally started loosing again, I lost .6... bringing me to 39.8 lost. I was SURE I was going to break that 40 pound mark this week, and instead I gained more than I've gained since I started the program.

I just want to loose the last 10-15 pounds and be done. I'm so ready to start maintaining... and I think that's part of my problem.

Thanks, though.

Between not doing much movement the last couple of days, and being all bloated from the period ickies, I fully expected not to lose anything. But I did - 2.6! :bananadance:

I've lost a total of 11.6 pounds in the first month on the program, and a total of 8.5 inches.

Don't worry Pepper, you'll get back on track!! :pat:

I know I will hit one of those plateaus eventually myself...or a spot when I will gain - I'm already afraid for the weigh-in after I return from that weekend in Charleston!!!!

I totally feel your pain! When I had 15 lbs. left to goal I thought it would come off pretty easily. WRONG! I had only gained one time in the year I was a member, but since making it to the 15 lb. countdown I've gained 3 times. They were all small gains, but it's frustrating to be so close and take a step in the wrong direction. I have 9.4 lbs. to go now and I've just completely recommitted to the plan. I stayed after a meeting about 2 weeks ago to hear the talk they give the new people and I reread my joining materials.I guess I just have to accept that it's going to take me longer than I thought to get these last lbs. off.

Don't give up Pepper! No one said it was going to be easy, but you can do it!
