For those who aren’t familiar with this kind of swap it is reserved ONLY for those who aren’t participating on BookCrossing Convention April 20-22 and the purpose is to make them incredibly jealous for not playing. Meaning book we are offering should be very good or very popular or on many wishlists of Convention participants or … you catch the point.

Swap from last year was extremely good with bunch of amazing titles (do check on shaunies swap site) so hopefully we could repeat it this year too.

The fact I’m posting this pool doesn’t mean that I’m the host. If anyone wants to be the host it’s free to do. Moreover it would be great since I have so many obligations on faculty but if no one wants I’ll do it :)

I voted yes. I'm trying to keep my owed books to a minimum, but how could I miss this?!!

:blush: The ones I don't know how to play are generally have abbreviations and generally have the word "swap" in it. So about 95% of what is on Shaunie's site I can't understand and is way too complicated for me!! :shrug:

They're all played in the same way. The different kinds of swaps refer to how long you have to make your move, what kind of books can be offered, etc.

YBS = Yankee Book Swap. This is generally any genre with 12 hours to make your move.

ALS = Almost Live Swap. This is generally any genre with 10-20 minutes to make your move.

Most other swaps are generally YBS format with limitations on genre.

So if you understand the concept of how the swap runs, you should be fine.

And there's no way to learn like playing! Everyone would be happy to help you out. We all had to learn at one point in time too. :hug:

I voted yes... but only because there wasn't a maybe option. Really, it's going to depend on my schedule and how much I've mailed out and things like that rather than the swap itself.

Yes here too, I set myself a limit of one swap per month this year, and this will only be my second of 2007.

It really is much easier once you watch one AEZ! Trust me, it took me awhile to even try, because it just sounded way too complicated but once you start, you won't be able to stop!

I'll have to see if anything I have qualifies, it will have to be a TBR prolly.
